Did Thanet District Council’s negligence lead to a fire?

According to my sources, Thanet District Council (TDC) may be liable for Monday’s fire in Taddy Gardens where a family’s dog died.

It is suspected that the cause of the fire was an electrical fault that had been reported to the landlord TDC multiple times without action. While this is yet to be officially confirmed, if true the council could face a hefty compensation bill. The family safely escaped the house and were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. As widely reported, the family’s dog was not so lucky. The outcome could have been so much worse and no doubt questions will be asked as to why TDC failed to address the reported fault.
